Team Leader

Jack Leary, Founder/CEO A military leader with advanced training in applied mathematics. A technology innovator with entrepreneurial insights. A skier, sailor, and world traveler.

Intersource Founder & CEO, former Lieutenant Commander Jack Leary has plenty of titles, accolades and honors, but please just call him “Jack.”

Whatever you call him, Mr. Leary’s credentials are nothing to scoff at. Prior to founding Intersource, LLC – a boutique technology consultancy based in Seattle – Jack flew combat support helicopters in the Persian Gulf and co-authored aviation tactics manuals for the US Navy, earning decorations for his innovative techniques.

After a 16-year stint in the US military, Jack rounded out his non-civilian career with a dual Masters of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Operations Research from the US Naval Postgraduate School. His thesis on the technical development of helicopter tactics was published and woven into Naval software. He later returned to the US Naval Academy to work as a teacher, where he developed a course on the mathematics behind real naval tactics.

From synthesizing standard operating procedures for the military to refining revenue streams in the private sector, Jack’s innate sense of strategic leadership has served his country (and clients) well.

From 1995 to 2005, Jack enjoyed high-level management positions at ALLTEL and Microsoft before securing the position of Vice President at Getty Images. At Getty, he spearheaded the design and development of an e-commerce platform capable of generating billions in annual revenue.

After founding Intersource, Jack began actively recruiting and refining a team of disciplined, creative consultants. His driving motivation: watching clients succeed, extending insights and offering aid that they couldn’t get anywhere else. He revels in building a technology ‘dream team’ that reflects his personal values: honesty, accessibility, wisdom and integrity.

Less of a boss and more of a coach, Jack’s management style is best expressed as straight-talking, wise-cracking, and seasoned — but not stuffy.

He prefers an illustrative story to a hardened sales pitch, and values client success over saving face.

These days, Jack’s pumping his considerable strategic abilities into enhancing and expanding his technology consultancy. He knows how to serve, he knows how to lead, and he knows how to win.
